- This is a top-of-the-table clash with
the Magic sitting in first place and the Steel in second
(both still undefeated).
- The Magic and Steel met 21 times in the former Trans-Tasman Netball League with the Magic winning 14 times and the Steel seven.
- The Steel and Magic have the best two attacking records after two rounds; the Steel is ranked number one with 74.5 goals per match while the Magic are averaging 63.3 goals per match.

Stars and Mystics in the Battle for Auckland.
- It is also the Stars first home game of the season.
- The Stars are coming off a 48-37 victory over the Tactix in Round 2 to record their first ANZ Premiership win in the Club’s short history.
- The Mystics are coming off 67-74 loss to the Steel in Round 2.
- The Mystics have the third best attacking record after two rounds with 61 goals per match.
- All 11 members of the Stars team took the court
in Round 2 against the Tactix in
Christchurch.
