Two Dunedin Fringe Events Cancelled
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Two Dunedin Fringe Events Cancelled: Africa Entsha and Stimela: The Gumboot Musical
The Dunedin Fringe Festival regrets to advise that two shows have today been cancelled. All performances of the acapella vocal group, Africa Entsha and song and dance phenomenon Stimela: The Gumboot Musical have been cancelled effective immediately.
The festival office has been working extremely hard to support the artists and their efforts to come to New Zealand, but regrettably they were unable to fulfil all of their immigration paperwork requirements in time. Their first performance was scheduled for tonight at 7.00pm. Artists involved in Fringe events are responsible for every aspect of their production, including any travel or immigration requirements.
All ticket holders will be contacted by the festival office or it’s official ticket provider, Eventfinda, and their ticket purchases will be refunded in full. For those tickets purchased through the Eventfinda website, the refund will be automatically processed in 1-3 working days. For those tickets purchased in-person from the Dunedin Fringe Festival box office, purchasers are asked to visit the office to process the refund. The festival asks anyone with questions to contact them during office hours on (03) 477 3350.
