Bach Musica NZ - Choral Masterpieces from Around the World

Two of New Zealand’s finest emerging conductors, Elizabeth Lau and Timothy Carpenter, will be Bach Musica NZ’s guest conductors for the ensemble’s first concert in their 40th anniversary season.
Performed in the stunning acoustic of St Matthew-in-the-City, Choral Masterpieces from around the world will include well-known favourites by composers Brahms, Haydn, Faure, Tchaikovsky, Vaughan Williams and others, as well as the NZ premiere of a Chinese folk song.
Elizabeth Lau, Music Director of Wairua Sinfonietta and Deputy Music Director of Auckland Choral and Timothy Carpenter, Musical Director of Hamilton Civic Choir and St Paul’s Collegiate Hamilton, will also feature as pianist and organist respectively in this concert.
