RLWC2017 Announce Independent Liquor as Tournament Partner in New Zealand
Rugby League World Cup 2017 (RLWC2017) is pleased to announce Independent Liquor as an Official Partner of the tournament in New Zealand.
As an Official Partner, Independent Liquor using the “Woodstock Bourbon and Cola” brand will receive pourage rights for the spirits category at all RLWC2017 fixtures played in New Zealand. Woodstock will also activate “Woody’s Words of Wisdom” at key games featuring the Kiwis, where spectators are invited to write their message of the support and hold it high for the chance to win prizes.
Rohan Sawyer, RLWC2017 General Manager Commercial and Marketing said: “We are delighted to welcome on board Woodstock as a Partner of this year’s tournament, a brand that is synonymous with Rugby League in New Zealand.
“This year’s Rugby League World Cup will be the best ever and that extends to the fan experience in the stands on match day, so it’s great to welcome back a crowd favourite in ‘Woody’s Words of Wisdom.”
Laura Youngman, Independent Liquor Category Manager for Ready to Drink and Spirits said: “Our partnership with the Rugby League World Cup 2017 cements Woodstock’s support of Rugby League in New Zealand at all levels of the game.
“From grassroots with our ‘League Club Fix Up’, sponsorship of the New Zealand Vodafone Warriors, and now our association with the Rugby League World Cup, Woodstock is proud of its long-standing commitment to Rugby League and can’t wait to be part of the sport’s premier event.”
