Auckland Museum and RNZ present The Volume Scene Report
Auckland Museum and Radio New Zealand present the Volume Scene Report podcast series
Auckland Museum and RNZ have teamed up in celebration of the flagship exhibition Volume: Making Music in Aotearoa with a competition to find original voices from Auckland’s youth for a new podcast series.
The Volume Scene Report will showcase the diverse stories of young people who are out there creating and enjoying New Zealand music in 2017.
We are looking for five stories from individuals or groups aged 16 – 25 years old, be it your local hip-hop scene, the sounds of your church, or the venue that's become your second home.
If your podcast pitch is one of the five selected for Volume Scene Report, you'll receive professional guidance from RNZ and Auckland Museum staff to create your podcast, including a one day workshop to build your storytelling and production chops. Winners will also receive a guided tour of Volume: Making Music in Aotearoa, $100 for expenses, and some limited edition Volume merchandise. Each podcast will be aired across Aotearoa on RNZ's music show Music 101 and released online via RNZ and The Wireless.
Sound like you? See our website for the important details of the project, and submit your pitch by Monday 27 February.
