LESS THAN THREE WEEKS UNTIL THE PURPOSE TOUR LANDS IN AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND!
+ SHEPPARD CONFIRMED AS SPECIAL GUESTS FOR ALL FIVE STADIUM SHOWS
The countdown is on: Justin Bieber’s highly anticipated Purpose World Tour kicks off its Australian and New Zealand leg in less than three weeks’ time.
Adding to an already unmissable night, Frontier Touring and AEG Live are delighted to confirm that Queensland’s biggest pop export Sheppard will be performing at all Justin Bieber’s Australian and New Zealand shows, joining the already announced Martin Garrix.
“We’ve done some huge shows overseas like Rock in Rio, Lollapalooza in the states, Summersonic in Japan and V Festival in the UK, but this will be the first time we’ll have the chance to play shows of this size here at home. To be able to do it with an artist like Justin on his album tour for what I think is one of the best pop records of the decade, is a real honour for us.” – George Sheppard
The announcement coincides with news of Sheppard’s forthcoming sophomore album, which will take the band to another level after spending the past few years topping charts across the world, racking up over 400 million streams, picking up a slew of ARIA, APRA and AIR Awards and delivering one of Australia’s biggest pop hits of the decade in the infectious ‘Geronimo’.
Before landing in Australia and New Zealand, the Purpose World Tour has already wowed fans and critics alike across the United States, Canada, Japan, Europe, the United Kingdom and Mexico. With more than 100 huge shows on the tour and more than 1.7 million ticket sales globally, there is no doubt that Bieber is at the top of his game with this tour:
‘…a concert that shows, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Bieber is back’ – Entertainment Weekly
‘The concert was sublime vocally, visually and musically’ – Rolling Stone
Touring in support of his fourth studio album Purpose – which debuted at #1 in over 100 countries and has sold over 8 million copies worldwide - lucky ticketholders can look forward to hearing worldwide smash hits including ‘Love Yourself’ (6x Platinum), ‘What Do You Mean?’ (5x Platinum) and ‘Sorry’ (4x Platinum) live for the very first time.
The Australian and New Zealand leg of the Purpose World Tour will kick off at Perth’s nib Stadium on Monday 6 March before making its way through Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Auckland. Only a handful of tickets remain to one of the biggest pop events of the year – you’ve been warned, act quick to get your tickets!
