ALLIED TE MATATINI EVENTS SOLD OUT
Ngāti Kahungunu is pleased to announce that both the Taniwha Dragon Economic Summit and the Paua Club are sold out. This supports the twin strategy that culture and commerce co-exist and that Te Matatini has drawn people from both sectors like moths to a flame.
To date, over 40,000 Te Matatini tickets have been sold and the numbers have exceeded the expectations of the organisers. We regret that all 20,000 iwi discounted tickets have sold and we urge people to go online to the Te Matatini website to purchase tickets at the full price.www.tematatini.co.nz
The Herenga Waka festival is running full steam ahead as part of the Art Deco Weekend. The Kahungunu Taikura Kurupounamu Exhibition and He Manu Tioriori Showcases start at the Hastings Community Arts Centre on Wednesday 15 February. The free Water Borne Show will take place at6:00pm on Sunday 19 February in the Ahuriri Lagoon.
Information about Te Matatini will feature in a special publication created by Hawke’s Bay Today, coming out on Monday 20 February. Buy your copy and be informed.
