In celebration of te reo and tikanga living and breathing throughout all avenues of life, Māori Television joins the 2017 Auckland Pride Parade and showcases a selection of new and returning shows to the channel this March.
Floating down the Ponsonby Strip as part of the February 25 event will be a selection of Māori Television’s fabulous faces including nesian warriors from Game Of Bros and the flashy K’Rd Queens of Panguru. In a channel first, Māori TV will become the first NZ TV broadcaster in Pride history to enter a float into the parade, and in true Māori Television style, they bring their love of te reo and great local talent to the street, sharing practical matchmaking advice with parade goers via a free te reo guide to love.
Reflecting the diversity of the local programming on offer, these featured shows form part of the new Wednesday and Thursday night line ups on the channel, with the new season of programming to commence on Monday 20 March.
Bringing Aotearoa kai to your living room, the new season week kicks off with a brand new 7.30pm weeknight strip of food shows featuring new programs from celebrated chef Rex Morgan with Kitchen Kura, ex MKR NZ favourites Monique & Henry deliver Tradition On A Plate and Cam’s Kai returns to take his show on the road around NZ and on to Rarotonga this season.
