Coastella Music Festival: Kāpiti’s Kid-Friendly Day Out
Coastella Music Festival has not only lined up a stellar selection of musical acts; the Festival is gearing up for a day of fun for all the family, with games, workshops, treasure hunts, giveaways and more!
The Havana FunZone, is a pirate-themed Funzone especially for the kids! The FunZone will be suitable for kids of all ages, with a range of activities through the day, including a treasure hunt and activities with Captain Hook and the Lost Boys, stories from Tinkerbell, facepainting, kids’ yoga and Kiwi cricket games.
"We are really excited to provide a space specifically designed for kids to explore, learn and enjoy themselves, so they can have as much fun as the adults", says FunZone co-ordinator KJ Smith, working with Vanessa Stacey to deliver the FunZone at Coastella.
Discover some amazing children’s story telling from Craig Smith of Wonky Donkey fame. Craig has written some of Australia’s greatest picture books including the bestselling children’s book of 2010 Wonky Donkey, Kaha the Kea, and Willbee the bumble bee. His newest children’s Album ‘Not just for kids’ is set to be a hit not just for the kids of Coastella but for their parents too.
To keep the kids active, former All Whites and Phoenix Player Ben Sigmund will be running football drills for the kids at Coastella from 2pm-3pm. There will be prizes along with a signing session including the signing of Ben's autobiography 'Fully Committed'.
With entertainment for the kids, a diverse musical line-up and great food, hand picked by Visa Wellington On A Plate, Coastella is set to be an unmissbale day out for all the family!
Coastella Festival is presented in partnership with Eventfinda and shows at Southward Car Museum, on Saturday 25 February 2017.
Doors open at 1pm and performances run from 2pm-11pm.
Shows after 9pm will be held in the venue and are R18.
