Kayla Cullen tells women to stop exercising
Kayla Cullen joins elite athlete team and tells women to stop exercising.
Kayla Cullen was today
announced in a team of six elite Nike athletes that will
showcase the power of women in sport.
Alongside Kayla Cullen, stands Moana Hope (AFL), Jordy Mercer (Iron Surf Woman), Kim Ravaillion (Netball), Kyah Simon (Soccer) and Steph Bruckner (Nike Master Trainer,) forming an unstoppable female sporting force.
“It’s an incredible honour to be part of this team of elite female athletes and to be able to inspire other females to train hard. Training as part of a team, whether that is with your sports team or your team of friends, drives and motivates you to train harder and faster. The team will bring out the best sort of competitiveness within you and get you towards your goal at pace,” says Kayla Cullen.
Kayla Cullen, the elite athlete team, and NikeWomen are encouraging females to STOP EXERCISING and START TRAINING. They’re inspiring women to stop the aimless movement this is exercise, and asking them to train towards a goal with an adaptive plan that targets all areas of the body.
“As a Silver Fern, training to be prepared for my time on the court is vital. This year, the goal I’m working towards is cementing my spot back into the team after injury setbacks. I’ll be setting goals, training with the Nike+ Training App and focusing on strength and endurance training to make sure I'm back on top of my game,” says Kayla Cullen.
In Auckland, Kayla will be assisting in training groups of women attending the free ‘Metcon Monday’ five-week team training programme, at the Nike+ Training Studio hosted by NikeWomen. The first training will kick off on Monday 23rd Jan. Register here.
Kayla turns to the stable, durable and lightweight Nike Metcon DSX Flyknit to ensure her training is distraction free.
