Seed Round 03 2016 Recipients!

The New Zealand Writers Guild is pleased to announce the recipients of the Third Round NZWG Seed Grants 2016
Participation in this round was excellent, with 49 applications in total received.
Judging involved extremely spirited debate - the standard of craft and original story ideas presented in the applications proved a real challenge when it came to selecting final recipients.
The recipients - third round of NZWG Seed Grants 2016 - are:
•Steven Baker
•Ciarin Smith & David Butler
•Will Agnew
•Tim Van Dammen
The assessors were impressed by a high standard of work among the top contenders in this round. There were thirteen applications that really stood out.
The NZWG would like to thank:
Matthew Horrocks, Claire Dobbin and Harriet Crampton for their time, expertise and care in reading and assessing all of the applications.
The NZWG would also like to thank the New Zealand Film Commission for their financial support of this initiative.
Thanks also, to all of you who participated in this round. The NZWG is excited and heartened by the level of creativity and writing craft on offer in this country, as evidenced by this round. We wish all of you the best.
The top applications in this round demonstrated an ability to present applications of the highest standard.
The assessors remind applicants that proof reading, correct formatting of scripts and mastering the basics – logline, synopsis, treatment and samples scripts – does convey an understanding and professionalism.
