VNZMA’S PULLS BIG NUMBERS, RADIOLIVE RETURNS TO KAIKOURA & PAUL HENRY’S WINE A SELL-OUT SUCCESS

Thursday evening was a celebration of glitz, glamour and Kiwi music at the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards, drawing an audience of more than 500,000 and securing the programme’s highest 25-54 ratings to date.

More than half a million Kiwis tuned in on TV3 and The Edge TV to see hosts Jono Pryor and Ben Boyce MC a series of awards and performances by some of New Zealand’s top artists.

The VNZMA programme won its timeslot in the key 25-54 commercial demographic, as well as with viewers aged 18-39 and 18-49.

Thursday also saw RadioLIVE resume broadcasting in Kaikoura, expanding its service to all MediaWorks radio frequencies in the region, providing Newshub bulletins and regular local Civil Defence and community updates.

MediaWorks is currently broadcasting RadioLIVE's 24/7 news and talk service to Kaikoura and the surrounding area on LIVE’s existing 89.1FM frequency and on More FM’s 89.9FM and The Breeze's 97.1FM frequencies.

Friday night’s comedy line-up saw The Graham Norton Show and Live at the Apollo win their timeslots in all key commercial demographics – 25-54, 18-39, 18-49 and Household Shoppers with Kids.

That morning, ‘Paul Henry's Own Pinot Noir’ went on sale at Glengarry stores around New Zealand and sold out three hours later.

Having partnered with Invivo Wines to produce the limited-run pinot, the broadcaster developed his very own blended drop which Invivo describe as nice, balanced and approachable. Paul describes it as ‘perfection’.
