A Fine Line features four contemporary Waikato women artists who are each making their mark on the national and international art world - Helen Dowling, Priscilla McIntosh, Sarah Mitchell Munro, and Chelsea Peppercorn. Jointly, their works juxtapose washed out watercolours, bright oils, acrylic swirls and artfully arranged assemblage. The final result wavers between the lines of easy definition as the works both complement and question each other. Regardless of medium, the artworks are bound by their dedication to the themes of isolation and the beauty of banality executed with a curiously nuanced, even meticulous naivety that gives the exhibition a sense of time and timelessness.
Join us to celebrate the opening on Thursday, 17 November, at 5.30pm.
