Look out for the City Mission’s eye-catching Star Car!

The Wellington City Mission’s iconic Star Car will be cruising around Greater Wellington once again this November and December as part of their Christmas Star Appeal.

The eye-catching car hits the streets this Saturday 12 November and will be parking up at local malls, supermarkets, and Z stations. People can make a donation to The Mission’s Christmas Star Appeal via cash or eftpos when they see the car, and then sign their name on one of the thousands of stars it’s decorated in!

As an exciting addition, this year the Star Car will also be selling tickets to The Mission’s brand new Christmas Raffle! Every raffle ticket purchased puts you in the draw for one of nine amazing prizes – including a 2016 Mitsubishi Mirage, just like the Star Car itself!

Other raffle prizes include a $2,500 STA Travel Voucher, a Samsung 55” TV, and an overnight stay with dinner & breakfast at the Intercontinental Hotel. Raffle tickets are $5 each, or $20 for a book of five.

Wellington City Mission Marketing & Fundraising Manager Robbie Ross said: “We’re always seeking to make the experience of donating fun, while at the same time giving people the opportunity to support those who most need help."

Donations to The Mission’s Christmas Star Appeal will touch the lives of many people across Greater Wellington who are in desperate need. This support will help ensure families and individuals in our communities have a joyful Christmas, and head into the new year feeling confident and secure.
