The assessors made note of the high quality shown by the top contenders in this round. There were eleven applications that really stood out.

The NZWG would like to thank:
Michael Beran, Fiona Samuel and Robin Scholes for their time, expertise and care in reading and assessing all of the applications.

The NZWG would also like to thank the New Zealand Film Commission for their financial support of this initiative.

Thanks also, to all of you who participated in this round. The NZWG is excited and heartened by the level of creativity and writing craft on offer in this country, as evidenced by this round. We wish all of you the best.
