Support Blind Week and life without limits
Volunteer collectors around the country will take to the streets on October 7 and 8 for the Blind Foundation’s annual Blind Week street collection.
The Blind Foundation’s vital work in providing practical and emotional support for Kiwis with sight loss is only possible with the public’s generous support.
Blind Foundation Chief Executive Sandra Budd says funds raised during the Blind Week appeal help New Zealanders who are blind or have low vision to lead a life without limits.
“We are so grateful for the public’s generosity, which helps us to provide the essential support that Kiwis with sight loss need to face the future with confidence.
“Every day, three more New Zealanders will turn to us for support with sight loss and public generosity means they will be able to lead full lives with as much independence as they need.”
The Blind Foundation provides practical support to people who are blind or have low vision in living independently, help with technology, ways to continue reading and advice on staying in or looking for work.
People can keep an eye out for street collectors on October 7 and 8 or donate online at blindweek.org.nz.
