A year on from winning an AMP People’s Choice Scholarship, Happy 2 Help founder Paige Kirk has gifted over 150 clothing
packs, serviced over 300 one off requests and has provided over 5000 lunches to children in need in her home town of
Gore.
Kirk’s not-for-profit organisation, Happy 2 Help, is run entirely by volunteers and the group collect clothing and
donations which are then provided to local agencies, schools and organisations to help children in need.
“Happy 2 Help has continued to grow within my district and I am about to start mentoring some people to begin similar
initiatives within their own districts. We have achieved a lot over the last year and we are still growing,” says Kirk.
“Through gaining the $10,000 AMP People’s Choice Scholarship and my work in the community, I won the International
Soroptimist Gore Women of the Year, which has opened doors and opportunities for me to be in the public speaking realm
promoting what we do as well as encouraging and empowering other women to create an impact within their own lives.”
Kirk is studying toward a tertiary qualification in counselling with hopes of further serving her community.
