Paul Henry's Strong Performance Continues, TV3 Wins
Friday Night & Jono v Ben Scoops up Two Silvers in Spikes
Asia Awards
Against refreshed competition, Paul Henry, MediaWorks’ cross-platform programme, has continued its strong performance, drawing more 25-54 viewers than Breakfast across the morning on Tuesday – with 150,800 to 139,500.
Including launch, in terms of average audience for viewers aged 25-54, the margin between the two remains extremely close with a difference of just 6,853 viewers last week.
When looking at the difference a year makes, against the same week in 2015, Paul Henry is up a whopping 65% while Breakfast has continued to decline, down 20%, in terms of total 25-54 audience each morning.
Last night’s Grand Designs New Zealand Season 2 premiere was the most popular programme in 25-54 in the timeslot. The episode featured a towering concrete home on the cliffs of Point Chevalier, Auckland, which presented a number of unique challenges for the owner during its lengthy development and construction.
TV3’s Friday night line-up continued its performance with the channel winning the night in the key commercial demographic of viewers aged 25-54. Contributing to this win were Jono and Ben, The Graham Norton Show, 7 Days, Fail Army and Newshub Late, all winning their timeslots in 25-54, as well as 18-39 and 18-49.
Matching the show’s continuously high ratings, the Jono V Ben campaign continues to scoop up awards for innovative marketing and advertising. On Friday the campaign received two silvers at the Spikes Asia Awards in Singapore in the Media category. A collaborative project with MediaWorks Integration/Local Production, Frucor, Beat PR and OMD, the integrated TV, Radio and Digital campaign represents an incredible amount of innovation, hard work, determination and world-class advertising creativity. It was previously awarded three golds and two silvers at the Beacon Awards in New Zealand.
Finally, Wednesday morning saw the announcement of Bella Henry facing The Bachelor New Zealand’s Naz Khanjani in an undercard fight on October 1st 2016.
