Groups encouraged to apply for Community Post
Applications open next week on 1 August for the 2016 round of Community Post, when New Zealand Post donates postal
services to not-for-profit groups.
Community Post is available to national and regional organisations for special projects that fall into three broad
categories - health and wellbeing, culture and heritage, and developing business partnerships. In 2015, New Zealand Post
supported 1700 groups through Community Post.
“Community Post is our way of supporting community groups, big and small, and the good work they do throughout New
Zealand,” says Tina Morgan, Head of Brand, Marcomms and Sponsorship at New Zealand Post.
New Zealand Post has one million postage-included envelopes to donate to groups undertaking special projects in their
communities.
“For the first time, groups will also be able to apply for assistance from New Zealand Post to ensure addresses on their
databases are as up-to-date as possible,” says Tina Morgan. “That way, they’ll have more success contacting their
supporters.”
Applications open on 1 August and close at 5pm, 31 August 2016 and can be made online at www.nzpost.co.nz
