• In 20 previous meetings the sides have 10 wins each.
• The Vixens have won four of the last five meetings between the sides.
• The only previous meeting between the sides on the Gold Coast was their Round 11 meeting last year when the Firebirds won 54-45.
• The Firebirds’ ANZ Championship record breaking 21 consecutive win sequence was ended in Round 9 with a 54-58 loss to the Swifts in Sydney.

• The Steel is the only side that remains undefeated after nine rounds of the 2016 season after the Firebirds went down 54-58 to the Swifts in Round 9.
• The Steel is on their longest ANZ Championship winning run ( six matches). Their previous best consecutive winning run was four matches.
• Steel captain Wendy Frew will play her 100th ANZ Championship match, and Jane Watson her 50th, against the Tactix in Christchurch in Round 10.
• The Steel is the fourth most accurate team in the competition with 84.5% shooting while the Tactix are ranked seventh with 82.8%.
