TV Stars Have Own Saturday Morning Radio Show on The Hits
30 March 2016 – Much loved kiwi stars, Toni Street and Sam Wallace, will be the hosts of a new entertainment radio show on The Hits. The show, titled “Toni and Sam”, will air nationwide from 8am-10am every Saturday, beginning 2 April.
The new show aims to entertain, excite and engage kiwis by supporting the community, weighing in on the big stories and allowing our audience to get to know Toni and Sam in a relaxed and fun way.
Street, well known from TVNZs Seven Sharp and Breakfast and Wallace, who currently hosts the weather on Breakfast, will still continue with their roles and are excited for the challenges a new radio show will bring. “Both Sam and I are really looking forward to starting our Saturdaymorning show,” says Street. “We’re keen to get stuck into it and have some fun.”
Wallace thinks the public will be surprised at the different side of their personalities they will bring as hosts. “We can’t wait to get on air and just be ourselves and bring New Zealand along for the ride. It will be like catching up with a friend every Saturday morning!”
Content Director for The Hits, Todd Campbell, believes the duo will be a great addition to The Hits team. ‘We are thrilled to add another offering to the already stellar line up on The Hits, and I know Toni and Sam are going to build a great relationship with listeners all over the country.”
Toni and Sam will go to air Saturday 2 April. Visit www.thehits.co.nz/toni-and-sam/ for more information, and follow them on Facebook to keep up to date.
