New Duo Earth Tiger Releases First Single ‘King like Jordan’ on Move the Crowd
The freshly formed dynamic duo Earth Tiger releases their debut single ‘King Like Jordan’ on 21 March 2016 via Move The Crowd and Warner Music New Zealand.
The duo that makes up the mystical Earth Tiger is Cruz Matthews and Tom Taylor, a pair of musicians who have both been involved in the music industry for years. Taylor, a blossoming producer, and Matthews a songwriter for hit makers Kidz In Space, joined forces with a mutual passion for 90s-00s hip hop and Earth Tiger is the result.
“We are really excited about releasing our music to the masses,” says Cruz Mathews. “It has been a long time writing and recording and getting things ready, but now it’s time to get out there and party!”
Speaking on their latest signing, Aaron Christie of Move The Crowd says “Earth Tiger have bought a whole lot of new energy to the label. We really hope that people enjoy their music as much as we do!”
From the campfire around which Earth Tiger was dreamed up, to aspiring to the success of basketball great Michael Jordan, ‘King Like Jordan’ explores Earth Tiger’s hopes for achievement. With an infectious chorus and spirited lyrics, ‘King Like Jordan’ is a fresh tune that can be likened in style to the works of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Chance the Rapper. The single showcases their creativity and musicianship to the utmost of levels and sets the scene for an upcoming EP, due for release later in 2016.
