New Exhibitions at City Gallery
We’ve two fabulous new exhibitions on the 2016 calendar: Francis Upritchard: Jealous Saboteurs delivers the New Zealand-born sculptor’s largest survey show to date. The show spans 20 years of her practice and features more than 25 work; Bullet Time, explores time and movement in video and photography. It pairs artists Steve Carr and Daniel Crooks with the work of historical photographers Eadweard Muybridge (1830–1904) and Harold ‘Doc’ Edgerton (1903–90).
Events wise, we begin the long weekend this Thursday at Tuatara Open Late, join us for a live performance from acclaimed New Zealand musician SJD, a screening the documentary David Bowie is in the Auditorium along with an exhibition tour and more.
