Canadian Documentary Taking NZ Audiences off Grid in 2016
For Immediate Release
Meet the men and women of Canada who have chosen to build a life around renewable energy in Canadian documentary Life Off Grid.
Life Off Grid is a two-year exploration of the lives of Canadians in every province and territory who have made the choice to disconnect. Producer Phillip Vannini says: "I live on a small island; I am self-reliant for my own water supply and when I moved there I realised how much your attitude changes when you are self-sufficient for something and you are much more careful with it.”
Life Off Grid is a film about people who have chosen to build their lives around renewable energy with beautiful, inspiring, and often challenging results.
The film will have a limited theatrical release in New Zealand from February 4, 2016; screening at these confirmed venues and locations (further screens to be confirmed):
Auckland - Academy
Wellington - Ngā Taonga Sound & Vision
Pahiatua - Regent Upstairs
Waiheke Island - Community Theatre
Motueka- Gecko Theatre
Life Off Grid is also available for screenings via Tugg NZ and will be available via iTunes, Google Play and Xbox from February 4, 2016.
In addition to these screenings, a special advance screening and Q&A with producer Phillip Vannini is being held at Academy Cinema, Auckland on January 18, 2016 at 8:30pm.
