Magic Match Tickets On Sale Tomorrow
Media Release 25 January 2016
Match tickets to each of the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic's 2016 ANZ Championship home games go on sale tomorrow with fans expected to snap up tickets.
"We're very fortunate to have such great fans and crowd support at Magic games and we can already sense a real buzz from our fans about the season ahead," says Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic captain Leana de Bruin.
"There's lots of anticipation around the growth of our youngsters and I can see why fans are eager to come along and watch them because they're fueling my own desire to be out there playing alongside them."
The Magic are looking to build on a successful 2015 campaign that netted the inaugural New Zealand Conference title, the majority of the time with four players on court who were 20 or under. All the young squad members remain and in 2016 there's the advantage of a seven home game season, meaning more home crowd support and less travel. Four games will be played in Hamilton, two in Tauranga and one in Rotorua.
Tickets to the Hamilton and Tauranga fixtures can be purchased online through Ticketek, or through outlets at Founders Theatre in Hamilton and Baycourt in Tauranga. Tickets to the 17 April game against the Southern Steel in Rotorua can be purchased online through Ticketmaster, or at the Rotorua Convention Centre outlet.
A feature of the 2016 ANZ Championship is the introduction of a family friendly 4:10pmgame time for selected games. The Magic will play three such home games - in Rotorua on 17 April, and in Hamilton on 21 May (v Northern Mystics) and 3 July (v Adelaide Thunderbirds). To further attract families, children's prices now start from as little as $10 compared to $15 last year, while adult prices remain unchanged starting from $20.
Season memberships are also proving popular, providing exclusive benefits and discounts for fans and can be purchased at memberships.ticketek.co.nz/magic. For corporates, a range of hospitality packages are available with more information atnetballmagic.co.nz.
