In a move that could possibly bankrupt the label in litigation costs, Illojgali has conceived a brand new video for (in our typical, laconic label fashion) what was the first single that stemmed from
the recent Craig Elliott cassette tape reissue, Abandoned Theme Parks (Double EP)
“Abandoned Theme Park“ pays homage to (or appropriates) a number of familiar 80’s and 90’s pop culture icons on a day out at, where else, a
theme park. Queue erotic Team Rocket fan-fiction, Mighty Morphin’ Power Ranger assault and Morpheus choosing the red and
blue pill in fairly large quantities, leading him down a much deeper rabbit hole than he could imagine. Or some other
thinly veiled drug reference you would like to use instead.
Seriously – we’re expecting a cease and desist. Best pay to take a look before it becomes “exhibit A” in court. Or if
you're not a fan, share it liberally so it gets a take-down notice. Whatever suits yourselves!*
Craig Elliott is a Kiwi musician based in Amsterdam, having emigrated initially to London and then onto the Netherlands. His music
has been likened to New Zealand icons The Mint Chicks, Japanese noise-rock merchants Melt Banana and a splash of
Deerhoof for good measure. Somewhat defined as hyper-caffeinated fuzz pop, Craig has released two EP's (both of which
compiled into his first release through MUZAI Records) and has toured across Europe, including performances at festivals
such as Nozstock in the UK and Popronde in the Netherlands.
