Two NZ comedy heavyweights set to light up the stage at the Go Media Comedy Carnival

The Go Media Comedy Carnival announces today a small line up teaser ahead of a larger announcement in the new year. Star
of What We Do in the Shadows, Cori Gonzalez-Macuer, and Kiwi Icon, Gish, will both feature at the burgeoning comedy festival. Gonzalez-Macuer shot
to fame in 2006 after winning the prestigious Billy T Award. The Chilean born comic has since performed in the tough LA
and New York comedy scenes as well as of course starring in the Jamaine Clements & Taika Waititi vampire flick. Justin Hansen, better known as Gish, is one of the heaviest touring artists in NZ history,
famous for classic hits such as "Stink Bro" "The Joint" "Bugger!" and several parodies ranging from The Eagle's hit
"Hotel California" to Natalie Imbruglia's "Torn".
The Go Media Comedy Carnival is a new festival of comedy happening right here in the garden city. Due to take place next
year on Tuesday 15th March through to Sunday 3rd April, the Go Media Comedy Carnival will celebrate the last few weeks
of summer with comedians from around New Zealand set to take the stage. Comedy Carnival is being supported by a range of
local business including Mashina Lounge, NZME and recently signed prime sponsor Go Media.
The Go Media Comedy Carnival is the first of its kind in Canterbury and Grandpa Figs, the local business behind the
Carnival, is already looking at establishing it as an annual part of Christchurch’s entertainment scene.
