Christmas Comes Early to Orana
Orana Wildlife Park staff are celebrating the silly season one day early by planning a day of fun, festive themed
enrichment activities for the animals tomorrow. Starting from 10.30am a range of Christmas treats will be given to
different animals throughout the day.
Head Keeper of Exotic Mammals, Rob Clifford, says: “there will be gorillas deconstructing their stockings, rhinos
smashing open surprises, kea cracking in to crackers and tigers tearing in to treats to name a few. Animal enrichment is
a key part of our role and keepers wanted to have some fun for Christmas. The animals will enjoy the change which will
in turn enrich the visitors’ experience”.
The Orana team wishes everyone a safe and happy holiday season.
