SIX60 Add American Singer
Mike Taylor to Summer Tour

THURSDAY 17 DECEMBER 2015 - Fans don't have long to wait until the eight date SIX60 Summer Tour kicks off in Oakura on Boxing Day, and the line-up just got even more exciting with the addition of American singer Mike Taylor for all tour dates.

The band met Taylor in LA through their shared management company, and as keyboard player Marlon Gerbes laughingly puts it, “we liked what we heard and after hanging out with Mike, he was on the tour.”

Taylor’s star is on the rise after he provided vocals for Afrojack’s summer banger SummerThing, which reached #8 on the Billboard Hot Dance Chart and is close to 10 million views on YouTube. After rocking stages on Diplo's MAAD DECENT BLOCK PARTY, Firefly Music Festival and SXSW, Taylor gets more stage time in NZ as opening act for the SIX60 Summer tour, before gearing up to release his debut EP which is set to drop in 2016.

Local urban artist Diaz Grimm also joins SIX60 on tour for all dates except New Year’s Eve, which he has to miss due to a scheduling conflict. Weird Together and Nick D join SIX60 and Mike Taylor for the Cathedral Square concert, and Weird Together will also take the stage at the sold out Auckland show at Villa Maria Winery.

The Villa Maria Winery concert is sold out and sales for the tour continue to be strong, so fans are advised to get in before more dates sell out. Return bus tickets are available for the Petone and Villa Maria concerts.
