perspective
Just in time for the ‘silly season’
Nigel Latta will be putting the craziness of the season into
perspective in a one off show, “The Problem with life”
on Wednesday 2nd December from 7.30pm at Westlake Boys High
School, Forresst Hill, Auckland.
“The modern world is great, but it’s also confusing, stressful, frequently overwhelming, and filled with so many distractions and irrelevancies, it’s often hard to figure out what’s really important and what really isn’t’” says Nigel Latta.
“So this talk is all about giving some simple ideas for everything from choosing which school your kids should go to, to dealing with irritating workmates, and figuring out what to do with your life.”
All proceeds from this one off show benefits children’s charity, Kenzie’s Gift, which cares for the wellbeing of children and families affected by cancer, serious illness or bereavement.
Kenzie's Gift was founded by Nic Russell after her three-year-old daughter Kenzie died from an aggressive form of bone cancer in late 2005, with the loss coinciding with her own battle with breast cancer. Nic identified the widespread need for evidence based, therapeutic support.
“It’s hard to believe is it ten years since my beautiful poppet passed, Kenzie would of been 13 this month and her legacy is being honoured in a special way at Nigel’s event. We are launching our Memories are Forever kits, which are grief and bereavement support packs for kids who have lost a special person,” explains Nic Russell.
“We are eternally grateful to all who have been involved in the project and to everyone who has supported the work of Kenzie’s Gift, their ongoing support is invaluable.”
