The Chance To Be Champion
New Zealand Poetry Slam proudly presents The Auckland Regional Slam Finals! Featuring an incredible line up of the Top
12 poets from Auckland,
special guest performances, and an unforgettable, passionate night of poetry.
Over the past six months, these poets have battled it out in our regional slam heats to win their spot in the Auckland
Regional Slam Finals. The Top 12 will compete in three knockout rounds, judged by members of the audience, to determine
the top 2 poets who will represent Auckland and compete against poets from across Aotearoa at the National Poetry Slam
Finals.
The winner of the National Poetry Slam Finals will be crowned the 2015 New Zealand Poetry Slam Champion and win
international performance opportunities and prizes.
The only national adult poetry competition in the country, New Zealand Poetry Slam brings together poets, audience
members, and a chance to be crowned New Zealand National Slam Champion.
Featuring special guests Tusiata Avia and dance troupe Hopskotch!
