750 HP Lamborghini Supercar Set To Steal The Show – Big Boys Toys 2015

One of the world’s greatest supercars can be seen for the first time at Big Boys Toys 2015 courtesy of Giltrap Motor Group, the importers of the extraordinary Lamborghini Aventador LP750 SV.
It will take pride of place in the Driven Hall, along with a stunning array of desirable motor vehicles, many seen for the first time in New Zealand.
Big Boys Toys Event Director Dean Wilson says it is exciting to have the Lamborghini at the show. "Big Boys Toys is renowned for having the newest, the fastest and the best motor vehicles and this is a real gem," he said.
This 2016 model Lamborghini Aventador has just been released, an incredible vehicle that accelerates from 0 – 100 kmph in only 2.8 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 350 kph (217+ mph).
Lightweight construction with high-tech aluminium alloys and extensive use of carbon fibre results in a very efficient power-to-weight ratio of just 2.3kg/hp from the Superveloce’s 750-horsepower naturally-aspirated 6.5 litre V12 engine.
Keeping this much power under control are a great many innovative and high-tech systems including an active spoiler, ceramic disc brakes and dynamic independent damping that adjusts to changes in road surface in a mere millisecond, even adjusting for different driver inputs.
The underbody is optimised to create additional downforce, and the new body achieves a total of 170% increased downforce over the previous model, giving greater high-speed stability, improved cornering control and steering response.
The Lamborghini‘s designers have especially concentrated on low weight with maximum rigidity, resulting in not just outright power but truly breathtaking driving performance on the road or track.
“The New Aventador Superveloce continues the Lamborghini tradition of SV models, pushing the boundaries in terms of performance and pure driving emotion” says Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini.
The Driven Hall at Big Boys Toys this year features an incredible array of vehicles from classic cars to super cars, vehicles you can drive home to vehicles you dream of owning.
It will also be a mecca for motorcycle lovers with the return of the NZ Motorcycle Show on for the first time in seven years. The show will feature the latest of two wheels from the big Japanese manufacturers - Kawasaki, Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha, and the iconic bikes of Harley Davidson, Victory and Indian.
The Milwaukee Action Arena will feature New Zealand’s best FMX & BMX riders, and stunt car drivers, for three days of extreme sporting action. The action includes one of the world’s top FMX riders – Nick Franklin and the country’s first forward flipping car, brought to you by Drive Rush.
So lock the dates for Big Boys Toys 2015 into your calendars, 30 October – 1 November at the ASB Showgrounds, Greenlane, Auckland.
