Waikato Home & Garden Show biggest, brightest and most exciting in its 31 years
A great family day out day out and thousands of unique products and services at direct to consumer prices are promised at the country’s most successful consumer event.
More than 450 local and international companies will be exhibiting their products and services at the 31st Waikato Home & Garden Show from October 1st to 4th at Claudelands Events Centre in Hamilton.
Crammed full of quality products and innovations for home owners and those looking to enhance their lifestyle and comfort, as well as unique deals and more than $180,000 in great prizes, the show promises a fantastic experience.
Visitors are advised to take their time to enjoy the one-off direct to consumer prices, fabulous gourmet food, relaxed and friendly bars, cafes and entertainment. This is not an event to rush.
Recognised nationwide as the country’s leading consumer event, visitors will have the opportunity to cast their vote in the people’s choice of the prestigious New Zealand Landscape Design Awards which have been a hallmark of the Waikato Home & Garden Show for more than twenty years.
The popular Smeg Cooking Theatre in association with New World will be celebrating everything local. Heading the line-up is champion of Waikato food, Vicki Ravlich-Horan, editor of Nourish Magazine and Chairperson of Waikato Food Inc. Along with chefs from iconic restaurants like Iguana and Domaine NZ Beef and Lamb Ambassador, Brad King from Falls Retreat, Matt from Good Neighbour, Toby and Carl from Smith & Mackenzie and Adrian from The District Eatery will share professional tips and great dishes from the freshest local ingredients courtesy of New World.
The brand new ‘My Designer Time’ feature will put you in touch with the country’s leading designers. This is your chance to pick the brains of multi-award winning designer Mal Corboy for your kitchen project, renowned bathroom designer Celia Visser, designer Andrew Cox for your bespoke home project thanks to ASB and Kitchen Things, with support of Laminex New Zealand, Smeg and Resene. Hundreds of experts are on hand over the four days to give free advice during the four day event If you’re contemplating a particular project, bring along the plans or even a sketch of your proposed project to discuss with the business owners, designers and specialists.
New ideas, new technology, new products - every year the Waikato Home and Garden Show brings them all together to highlight key design trends that impact on the way we live.
From gardening and home design to guidance on the investment property market, be sure to catch the show’s informative and free seminars. Hear top industry professionals share their knowledge and tips.
The Gourmet Food Pavilion a foodies paradise will be full of tantalising tastes, fabulous gift ideas and sensational shopping.
Making a debut appearance is Dr. Feelgood's healthy range of icy treats, gluten-free Raglan Coconut Yoghurt, paleo bars, Ruahine Ranges venison, lamb and beef direct from the paddock - chicken sausages, pork and duck rillettes, terrines, parfaits and chorizo. Visitors can also savour the wonderful range of handmade breads, cheeses, teas, oils, natural soft drinks and juices, the latest ranges of Kiwi bacon, Pork and venison salami .
Seniors attending on the opening day of the Home Show, Thursday October 1, pay just half price thanks to the sponsorship of Bupa Care Services NZ, one of the country's leading aged health and care providers. Bupa is also sponsoring the beautiful orchids that are pinned on Senior visitors upon entry.
Bupa also has an informative exhibition stand with friendly staff happy to talk about their extensive services from alarms to housing and home care options. Car parking is free for Seniors on the opening day.

Note: Parking on site at Claudelands is now managed and charged by Claudelands Event Centre. The charge for parking is $5.00.
