Nadine Chalmers-Ross to host Breakfast
Nadine Chalmers-Ross will co-host Breakfast while Ali Pugh is on maternity leave.
The ONE News and Breakfast presenter will join Rawdon Christie on the Breakfast couch fromMonday.
“I’m really looking forward to stepping in as co-host on Breakfast while Ali is away. It feels very natural as I've been part of the Breakfast family for many years now. I love the team and I'm all too familiar with setting my alarm for 3am!” says Nadine.
“I hope to do her and the team proud,” she adds.
TVNZ’s Head of News and Current Affairs, John Gillespie says, “There’s no doubt Nadine is the right person for this role. She’s a fantastic journalist and presenter on ONE News andBreakfast, and she also did a great job co-hosting Seven Sharp this year alongside Mike Hosking.”
Ali Pugh will miss her Breakfast team, but looks forward to returning to her hometown of Christchurch to have her first child.
“I’m sad to be leaving but Nadine will do an amazing job. I look forward to watching the show from the comfort of my living room for the next wee while!” Ali says.
