World Leading Magicians to perform in the Capital
Six of the world’s best magic acts will be performing in a one-off show at the Wellington Opera House, during Labour weekend this year. With the performers flying into Wellington from the USA, Canada, Australia and South Korea, the event promises to be one of biggest magic shows the capital has ever seen.
Hosted by Canada’s leading comedian magician David Merry, the show stars one of magic’s greatest line-ups with performers who are each masters of their own discipline. Acts include Lukas Lee, a world champion manipulator from South Korea, Charlie Frye, a vaudeville variety act from Vegas and Paul Romhany, a NZ born mentalist currently living in Canada. The show also includes two of Australia’s leading magic acts, including champion street magician Nick Nickolas and crowd favorite Phil “Trust Me” Cass.
“They’re all brilliant magicians in their own right,” says the show’s organizer, and president of the Wellington Magic Club, Nopera Whitley, “but amount of variety in this single show, has probably never been seen in Wellington before.”
Magicians in the Capital is showing at the Wellington Opera House for one show only on the 24th of October at 7.30pm. Tickets range from $30 - $40 and can be purchased at http://premier.ticketek.co.nz/shows/show.aspx?sh=MAGICIAN15
