Rise Against
Pcp Eagles And Lookin up Announced as Special Guests
They’re one of punk’s most exciting, politically social bands, renowned for energetic live shows and dizzying, larger than life anthems. Frontier Touring is thrilled to welcome back acclaimed Chicago four-piece Rise Against, returning to New Zealand this December.
Just announced, local bands PCP Eagles and Lookin Up will share the stage with Rise Against at Auckland Town Hall on Tuesday 8 December!
Formed in 2012 from the members of your favourite NZ punk and hardcore bands, PCP Eagles are New Zealand's hottest boy band. Instead of aiming for mature, complex songwriting PCP go the other way, writing basic catchy songs the way they wanted to write them when they were 15 years old. No holds barred, fun punk rock & roll.
In late 2012 the band released their debut EP I Hate The Mall, a seven-track 14 minute long package with songs about pro-wrestler Ric Flair, small town New Zealand and Hating The Mall, all delivered with a Kiwi hardcore punk ethos.
Since forming they have supported international acts the likes of Jello Biafra, The Bouncing Souls, Lagwagon, Pennywise, Alkaline Trio and CJ Ramone. They have been a part of New Zealand festivals; 2013s’ Camp A Low Hum, bStreet 2013, Laneway Auckland 2014 and Chronophonium 2015.
The band have played the length and breadth of New Zealand, completed three successful Australian tours, and are probably the most cartooned band in New Zealand. Now it’s 2015 and PCP Eagles are about to release the follow up to their highly successful debut. The first single from this release is ‘The Ballad Of Stuart Young’.
Lookin Up are a four piece hardcore punk band also hailing from Auckland. They're fast becoming a staple in the New Zealand punk scene and have performed at a plethora of gigs across the country since their inception in 2013. Their debut album Reborn was released via Bandcamp in 2014 and they're currently out touring throughout New Zealand.
Comprised of Tim McIlrath, Zach Blair, Joe Principe and Brandon Barnes, Rise Against’s storied career has seen them citied as one of America’s most visceral live bands.
Tickets for this epic night are on sale now through Ticketmaster and it is going to be one hell of a party!
