New Zealand Ultimate Names Men’s Team to Compete at World Ultimate Championships 2016
Seven players return from the 2012 World Championship campaign, bolstered by talent developed through the U20 and U24
programmes
New Zealand Ultimate is excited to announce the New Zealand Men’s Ultimate team that will compete at the 2016 World
Ultimate Championships to be held from 18 to 25 June 2016 in London, England. Coach Warren Buckingham and the selection
panel have opted for a combination of experience and youth with seven players returning from the squad that placed 9th
in the 2012 World Championships, bolstered by eight players who have represented their country at U20 and U24 level in
the last four years. Five players from the New Zealand U24 team that recently placed 6th at the World U24 Ultimate
Championships in July have made the step up to the senior national side.

New Zealand will send five teams to the World Championships – one in each division (Open, Women, Mixed, Masters and
women’s Masters). The other four squads are expected to be named in mid-October, at the conclusion of their selection
camps.
