The Others Way Reveal Festival Timetable
Friday 4th September will see Auckland's Karangahape Road humming with The Others Way Festival, with an epic day of New Zealand's best alternative music acts, performing back-to-back across multiple venues. Thanks to Flying Out and 95bFM, The Others Way features more than 30 local artists across six K'Rd venues for total cross-section of alt-NZ music scenes.
Taking inspiration from international music festivals CMJ and SXSW, fans will hit the streets and map out their own personal schedule of awesome acts, with a roster literally overflowing with cutting edge local indie, electronica, hip hop, and alt-pop.
Everything kicks off at 8pm, with a blistering set from Sere at Whammy, Dunedin pop-janglers Kane Strang at the Galatos Main Room and Wellington alt-pop chanteuse October at the Flying Out Basement. The music don’t stop the whole night long from there - with performances from the likes of Aldous Harding, The Bats, Solid Gold Hell, Princess Chelsea, Zen Mantra and so much more. The night rounds off with late evening sets from the much-anticipated Garageland, Silicon, Miss June, Chelsea Jade and Glass Vaults.
INFORMATION YOU NEED TO READ
Wristbands are available for collection from Flying Out shop, 80 Pitt Street (the K'Rd end of Pitt Street). from 10am Wednesday through to 10pm Friday.
Please note that The Others Way is R18 and you must wear your wristband to get into the venue. Sometimes venues will fill up and you may need to wait in line to get in. The festival team will be trying our hardest to minimise wait times and queues, but treat it like any show; if you desperately can't miss your favourite band - get to the venue well before they get on stage.
