Musicians Unite to Celebrate Winter’s End for Crisis Charity
On Sunday 30th August 2015, three Legends of New Zealand country music, Gray Bartlett, Brendan Dugan and Jodi Vaughan, will perform in a music benefit concert in aid of charitable trust Counselling Services Centre (CSC).
Based in Papatoetoe, CSC supports the Counties Manukau region with a 24/7 crisis response service for victims of sexual abuse and for others in their community who need counselling support for a range of issues such as grief and loss, relationship issues, depression, anxiety etc.
The Legends will be joined by a live band and several contemporary Kiwi artists for a concert taking place at The Hawkins Theatre in Papakura, Auckland- aptly named ‘Winter’s End - A Celebration of Hope’. All proceeds will go to support the work of the 26-year-old charity. CSC is thrilled that some of New Zealand’s most loved icons of country music have been so eager to get on board. Other artists performing alongside the Legends, include 2015 X-Factor Top-10 contestant Sarah Spicer, Phil Madsen, Summerset Young @Heart Chorus, Andrew Healey and Jo Morgan.
“We’re incredibly touched that these artists have given up their time to perform and to help raise funds for CSC,” says Agency Manager, Jo Morgan. “We are also extremely grateful that Lodge Papatoetoe #227 of Freemasons NZ have so willingly partnered with us to hold this magical afternoon of entertainment.”
Jo continues, “Purchasing a ticket to the concert will help towards making a difference in our community. The concert will also help to bring attention to the impact of abuse, whether physical, sexual or emotional; a difficult subject that makes many people uncomfortable. Abuse can have such devastating consequences, therefore providing support to survivors as soon as possible is imperative. Our team is dedicated to helping our clients find emotional health and well-being and it is a privilege to walk alongside them.”
Tickets for the Winter’s End Benefit Concert - A Celebration of Hope can be purchased from Counselling Services Centre, Unichem Guys Pharmacy-Roselands Papakura, Papatoetoe City Centre Pharmacy and through Eventfinda. http://www.eventfinda.co.nz/2015/winters-end-celebration-of-hope-benefit-concert/auckland/papakura
