Hatuma Lime Challenges Businesses to Don Their Running Shoes
Hatuma Lime Company staff are clocking up the kilometres as they train for the Hatuma Lime Half Marathon and are challenging other businesses to hit the pavements too.
Hatuma Lime Company Director, Aaron Topp says the half marathon is a good opportunity to motivate staff and create a strong team environment at work.
“As part of our commitment to health and safety our staff are also spending time prior to the event learning about ways to improve their own health and wellness.”
Entries have been flowing in for the Hatuma Lime Half Marathon, which takes place on September 20th.
Sport Hawke’s Bay Development Officer, Nicki Heremaia says the event provides an opportunity for people to participate at any fitness level.
“Whether you are a keen runner or out for a ‘Sunday Stroll’, it caters for all ages and abilities.”
“It would be great to see more business teams getting involved. Sport Hawke’s Bay recognises that there are many businesses throughout Hawke’s Bay that actively promote heath and well-being initiatives, so why not take this opportunity to grab some workmates and enter a team to beat those winter blues.”
“You can complete the full 21.1km or
work as a relay team with each member undertaking
approximately 5km each, there really is something for
everyone.”
Last year the Hatuma Lime Half Marathon
saw nearly 400 participants tackle the scenic course which
starts at the Waipukurau racecourse and takes in the entire
circumference of Lake Hatuma.
Also as a great incentive, Hatuma Lime Company are offering a FREE 2015 Hatuma Lime Half Marathon Tee-shirt to the first 250 entrants who pre-register before Wednesday 16th September.
