Fashion for a Cure Comes to Hamilton

For the first time ever, Breast Cancer Cure (BCC) is bringing its thriving Fashion for a Cure event to Hamilton. To help take a stand against breast cancer, BCC is hosting an exclusive fashion event together with some of New Zealand’s leading designers, to assist with their goal to find a Proudly supported by ASB, on Wednesday 29 July 2015, BCC Ambassador Petra Bagust will host Fashion For A Cure, an exclusive evening that will showcase some of New Zealand’s top designers, including: Trelise Cooper, Storm, Coop, Liam, Moochi and Yvonne Bennetti.

Each will present a range of beautiful pieces from their collections, and later on in the evening, there is the chance to bid on a variety of auction items including beautiful pieces from the designers. All proceeds from the night will go directly towards BCC’s goal of finding a cure for breast cancer by 2018.

Phillipa Green at BCC, says: “It’s really exciting to be taking Fashion For A Cure to Hamilton, the event has been a huge success in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch and we are anticipating Hamilton will be just as big.”

“Our work continues to grow in importance, especially as breast cancer in New Zealand grows at epidemic proportions. Five years ago 1 in 10 women would be diagnosed, now the rate is 1 in 9.”

“With one of the highest incidence rates in the Western world, there is an urgent need to find a breast cancer cure and stop it in its tracks.”

Tickets for Fashion For A Cure can be purchased for $75, which includes champagne, canapés and a goody bag to take home www.breastcancercure.org.nz.
