Olympic Gold Medalist to Work with Manawatu Youngsters
Youth Plus, a division of the Palmerston North Rotary Club, is delighted to confirm that Kiwi Gold medalist Hamish
Carter will be visiting the city on 30 July 2015 to talk to Manawatu young people
Carter, who in addition to taking gold in triathlon at the 2004 Summer Olympics, has won a medal at the 2002
Commonwealth games as well as twelve International Triathlon Union World Cup races. His program for Palmerston North
will include a presentation and Q session as well as a special clinic with talented young Manawatu athletes.
Organiser Del Costello says “This is a great opportunity for all young people in Palmerston North to hear from a New
Zealand champion who has a great story to share and who has reached the pinnacle of his chosen field.”
Tickets to both events will be distributed through participating Palmerston North schools. Any school (or other youth
