New and Emerging Māori Digital leaders converge in Auckland
Organisers of the Māori Meet Up sub session of Net Hui in Auckland 8-10 July are encouraging Māori and those interested in Māori digital space to attend the free day event and hear from new and emerging digital leaders.
Spokesperson Karaitiana Taiuru said this was the third year the Māori meet up had been organised. The first year was to see what appetite there was for such an event and there is a lot. In the early stages of Net Hui registrations, over 10% had also registered for the Māori meet up.
Alongside new voices will be new government research and an opportunity to fully engage with Maori ICT leaders and other practitioners.
The one day Maori meet up hui is free to attend, all participants are invited to a free lunch where ICT and business leaders will speak. Participants can choose to pay a small fee for the remaining 2 day conference to hear about other initiatives and networking opportunities. More information and registration can be found at http://2015.nethui.nz/
