2015 ANZ Championship Grand Final sold out
The 2015 ANZ Championship Grand Final between the Mission Queensland Firebirds and NSW Swifts will be played in front of
a capacity crowd after tickets sold out on Wednesday.
Firebirds and Swifts supporters snapped up the 6,000 available tickets to ensure Sunday’s Grand Final at the Brisbane
Entertainment Centre will be a full house.
“The passion and support for the Firebirds and Swifts this year is a credit to both teams and I wish them and their fans
the best of luck ahead of this weekend’s Grand Final,” ANZ Championship General Manager Andy Crook said.
“The netball and sporting community have again voted with their feet to ensure that the ANZ Championship Grand Final
remains one of the hottest tickets in town.”
The ANZ Championship Grand Final remains the biggest domestic netball game in the world, attracting unprecedented
crowds, interest and entertainment, which this year includes Australian singer-songwriter Dami Im performing at pre-game
and half-time.
The Firebirds host the ANZ Championship Grand Final for the first time since claiming the 2011 title following an
undefeated season, while the Swifts contest their first decider since winning the inaugural premiership in 2008.
The Firebirds won the right to host the Grand Final following a 55-44 victory over the Swifts in the Conference Final
two weeks ago at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
The 2015 ANZ Championship Grand Final between the Mission Queensland Firebirds and NSW Swifts is on Sunday 21 June at
