Auckland Welsh Choir to perform ‘sacred & sublime'

Auckland Welsh Choir to perform ‘sacred & sublime' music for a winter solstice

Auckland Welsh Choir returns for its annual concert at the historic St Barnabas Anglican Church in Mt Eden. This year’s programme includes sacred music from Mozart, Elgar, Rachmaninov, Fauré and Caradog Roberts along with some sublime spiritual, jazz and a collection of Welsh favourites.

The evenings programme will be sung in four parts with superb vocal and instrumental soloists including the delightful soprano voice of Brooke van Velden. The evening also presents an opportunity to hear the new organ in virtuosic mode, played by special guest Nicholas Forbes.

The choir’s reflective and much-loved pieces will warm the heart.
