NZ Best Truck Driver to Get $10,000 Prize Pack

Christchurch is to kick off the NZ Truck Driving Championship regional heats this Saturday 6th June starting 7.30am. Heats are being held around the country so the RTFNZ can find the best truck driver in New Zealand.

Wigram Air Force tarmac is a perfect venue for a truck driving competition with plenty of room for spectators and participants. Multiple courses are to be set up so different classes of driving can take place at the same time. TR Group/Masterdrive have come together with the RTFNZ and put together a prize pack worth $10,000 for the best driver that will be decided at the finals on the 27th August 2015. Local truck dealer Heavy Trucks have provided heavy trucks for the competition, said Dave Boyce CEO NZ Trucking Association

The Road Transport Industry is really looking forward to putting their professional drivers up against each other to test skill and knowledge to find the best in the country. Throughout the process there has be a lot of learning and this can only lead to safer and better drivers.

It’s not all about the Class 5 drivers either we have Class 2 and 3&4 categories. Open to the public with the entry to the tarmac off Vickerys road. Starting 7am for early registrations and finishing up at the Hornby Workingmans Club from 4pm for the prize giving.

Entries will be accepted on the day right up until time allows. Pre entry is preferred. Contact NZ Trucking Association 0800 338 338 0212527252
