The X Factor Nz Crowns Beau Monga The Season Two Winner!

Beau Monga has been crowned the winner of The X Factor NZ during tonight’s Grand Final Decider broadcast LIVE on TV3. Nyssa Collins was the runner up, with Brendan Thomas and The Vibes coming third.

The 21-year-old beat-boxer and singer made his mark on the show during TV Auditions when he performed ‘Hit The Road Jack’ by Ray Charles, which went viral with over 4 million views before the launch ofThe X Factor NZ back in February.

Beau has pushed boundaries throughout the show, performing with a loop pedal, rapping, singing and dancing – he has proven that he is a true performer.

Along with the much-coveted title, Beau has won a recording contract with Sony Music International, and all new, first ever Mazda CX-3.

The X Factor NZ Co-Executive Producer Andrew Szusterman congratulated Beau and The X Factor NZ production team.

“We are so incredibly pleased with what Beau has achieved this season. He has continued to learn, develop and shine on The X Factor stage and New Zealand has chosen him as their winner. Tonight is the result of many weeks of hard work and determination, both from the contestants and the production team, I couldn’t be more proud.”

Managing Director Sony Music New Zealand Ltd, Kim Boshier says: “This year’s finalists were incredibly diverse and clearly talented. We’re really looking forward to working with Beau and building a long and successful career.”

Beau’s debut single ‘King and Queen’ is an original and will be available to purchase on iTunes NZ from 9.30pm tonight. Beau’s self-titled album will include a selection of his favourite covers from the show re-recorded available for pre-order from tonight and will be released on Friday the 5th June.
