The NZ Music
Managers' Forum together with the NZ Music Commission are
pleased to announce the agency representatives who will be
leading The Official 2015 NZ Music Month Summit
masterclasses on Saturday 23 May, 2015.
This year the NZ Music Month Summit is an intimate series of masterclasses where delegates can get up close and personal with music industry agencies and find out first-hand how to make money from their music, what funding is available, and hear tips and pointers on how to present the best application for success.
The Summit was announced last week and already
the registrations for these focused sessions are at 50%

Meet the Music Agency
Representatives
Brendan
Smyth is part of the Senior Leadership Team at
NZ On Airwhere has worked since it was
established in 1989. He set up and
currently runs NZ On Air's music funding and promotions
schemes. Brendan will be advising on how NZ On Air may be
able to help fund your next step as a musician and help get
your song out there via the broadcast media.
Alan Holt is the Export Coordinator for Outward Sound at the New Zealand Music Commission, a government-funded agency committed to supporting NZ music businesses. Outward Sound undertakes projects and partnerships aimed at exporting NZ music and assisting music businesses in working internationally. Alan will be guiding attendees on the upskilling opportunities the Music Commission has to get your music business export ready.
Dean Cameron is the distribution & member services manager forRecorded Music NZ, a non-profit industry representation and licensing organisation for recording artists and their labels. Dean will be educating attendees on the Music Grants programme and direct-to-artist scheme.
Chris Archer is Senior Arts Adviser (Music) for Creative New Zealandand is based in Christchurch. Chris will outline what Creative New Zealand (CNZ) does for the arts sector, outline CNZ’s funding programmes and initiatives, explain the type of support that is available to contemporary popular music artists and provide some guidance on how to put your best foot forward when applying for funding support.
Ant Healey is the Head of New Zealand Operations at APRA AMCOS, which represents over 80,000 New Zealand and Australian music writers and publishers. Anthony is also a Trustee of the Centre for NZ Music and the New Zealand Music Foundation. During the masterclasses he will advise on the different ways APRA AMCOS can help you earn income from your music.
