Rodeo Records signs with MGM Distribution
Rodeo Records NZ is proud to announce that they have signed distribution for their new label with MGM Distribution based in Australia. This will physically distribute their artist's CDs into retail in Australia and in New Zealand (via MGM's New Zealand distribution arrangement with Southbound Along with worldwide distribution into Digital Stores.
Alan Jansson and Aly Cook have formed Rodeo Records NZ label in partnership.
Alan Jansson is a top New Zealand producer/writer having co-written and produced one of New Zealand most successful artists OMC which spawned global smash hit "How Bizarre". Alan has also produced a number of other hit records from Jazz to Hip Hop along with awards in the advertising field, including the much coveted Tele Award. Alan owns a state of the art facility, Uptown Recording Studios in Auckland.
Partner in the Rodeo Records label Alan Jansson Says .. "We are excited by this partnership and we look forward to providing music lovers with quality produced music by innovative individual artists. We have Aly Cook's new album and few other projects in development to follow already"
MGM Distribution began in 1998, and since then they have enabled thousands of Australian artists to release their music, allowing them to combine their artistic freedom with financial and creative control. As an independent music distribution service, MGM offers a unique model for achieving business success in the Australian music industry. They have worked with every conceivable style of music and along the way have experienced many successes, most noteably John Butler Trio ‘Sunrise Over Sea’ the first independently released local album to debut at #1 on the ARIA Album chart being a particularly exciting example.
Aly says "We are particularly excited about gaining what we wanted, which was a seamless established distribution to physical retail in both Australia and New Zealand. Plus a global digital distribution partner.
It's good timing as a growing number of artists in the Country & Folk Genres, cross the Tasman, performing festivals and enjoying airplay on Australian radio along with chart successes. Aly Cook is currently enjoying a 10 week run on the Top 40 Country Tracks Chart in Australia, with a first pre-release, a co-write with Allan Caswell & Alan Jansson - "No Phone, No Mail, No Internet" from the new album.
