Show Directors appointed to World of WearableArt
World of WearableArt Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of one of New Zealand’s foremost creative teams Mike Mizrahi and Marie Adams as Show Directors for the 2015 World of WearableArt Awards Show. The founders of Inside Out Productions Mike and Marie are no strangers to large scale theatrical events and are the creative minds behind a number of high profile international events. These include the creation and world-wide tour of the giant rugby ball used to promote the 2011 Rugby World Cup, the New Zealand “Guest of Honour” Showcase at the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2012, Louis Vuitton’s 150th Celebrations worldwide and the high profile David Jones fashion shows staged annually in Sydney.
General Manager, Tim Launder, said he was delighted that Mike and Marie were joining the company to artistically lead WOW in its next phase of creative development. “Mike and Marie bring an outstanding skill set and their experience in theatre, film and events is second-to-none. I am looking forward to seeing how they will enthrall audiences with their unique creative approach.”
Founding Director Dame Suzie Moncrieff who heads WOW’s creative team is a long-time admirer of Mike and Marie’s work and is looking forward to working with them. “A unique aspect of WOW is the fact that it is totally different year on year, and while audiences never know what to expect they do know it will be a theatrical and emotional spectacle. In order to maintain this creative innovation it is important to constantly refresh our approach and bring new thinking into the mix, Mike and Marie will do just that.”
Mike and Marie are thrilled to be part of the WOW team for this year’s show. “We have always been amazed at the extraordinary vision of Founder Dame Suzie Moncrieff and it is great to see a New Zealand event grow to such international and creative stature.”
Tickets are now on sale for the Wellington-based World of WearableArt Awards show which runs over 14 nights in September and October 2015.
